A Place In The Sun was never going to win awards for it’s originality, but what it does, it does really well. The album feels like one of those teenaged days when everything had gone to shit, but the sun was out and you just couldn’t give a fuck. The song writing and musicianship is rarely better than average, but this is one of those albums that is greater than the sum of it’s parts. Next time a blazing hot day rolls around, you could do a lot worse than throwing your windows wide open, sticking this on the stereo and turning it up to 11. Happy days.
